Illinois CCA Program

Certification is a standard of excellence used in many professions, including law, accounting, and engineering. With the Certified Crop Adviser (CCA) program, you can demonstrate your valuable agronomic expertise to the farmers you advise.

What is the Certified Crop Adviser (CCA) program?
CCA is designed to establish base standards of knowledge for individuals who advise growers on crop management and production inputs. It's a way for our industry to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to help growers produce economical.

2021 CCA VIrtual Conference

The Illinois CCA Board hosted a virtual conference on Dec. 8 from 7 a.m.- 12:30 p.m.  If you missed the conference, it will be availabe to view digitally on the American Society of Agronomy Website.

llinois Farm Bureau and the Illinois Certified Crop Adviser (CCA) Board are proud to announce applications are open for the Illinois CCA of the Year. This award recognizes an individual who has performed superior service for their farmer clients in nutrient management, soil and water management, integrated pest management, and crop production. The CCA Award is designed to recognize a crop adviser who is highly innovative, and who meets the needs of their customers in today’s challenging farming environment.

Nominations must be submitted by a county Farm Bureau (CFB), an active Farm Bureau member, or the employer of the CCA who has knowledge of the CCA’s qualifications. Nominators may resubmit a past candidate who has not previously won the award.

Nominations must be submitted online by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, September 2nd, 2022.
